I received a letter from the OBGYN office I visit, my doctor retired… oh no! (he was like 82)
I was referred to a new doctor. At a different location and I was a little aggravated because it was 10 minutes farther from the original location. During the appointment the doctor asked me several questions and actually listened to my answers. She took an actual interest in me and what I had going on. In previous posts I mentioned other experiences with several doctors and their lack of concern for my situation and symptoms. Then I visited the reproductive endocrinologist which was my first experience with a doctor that cared. But never had I ever stepped into an OBGYN office and had a doctor that cared. Long story short after a ultrasound and a lot of blood work I had some answers to my previous diagnosis of “unexplained infertility”. I am officially diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). She gave me a plan of action and now I can move forward knowing what direction to go. I hope that everyone can find a doctor that listens and cares about each individual’s circumstances. It makes all the difference.
