Before COVID-19 got really bad I had started to monitor what was happening and I called my friends and family and I warned them. I told them that people would go crazy and they should buy enough medicine and supplies for each person in their household. I took my own advice and I went to the store. One pharmacy was already limiting how many sanitizers one could buy. I bought one for my car, house and husbands car. I also purchased cold/flu medicine, enough for my husband and I. I got enough water for 2 weeks and meals and snacks. My husband ate 2 weeks worth of snacks in one week. You guys don’t understand how much that kills me inside that he can eat 8 fruit cups in one day. He is a string bean with a black hole of a stomach. Back to my story. The world has become a scary place but we must not go crazy.
7 For as God’s steward, an overseer must be free from accusation, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy of dishonest gain, 8 but hospitable, a lover of goodness, sound in mind, righteous, loyal, self-controlled, 9 holding firmly to the faithful word* as respects his art of teaching, so that he may be able both to encourage by the teaching that is wholesome and to reprove those who contradict.Titus 1:7-9
Let’s keep this same principal in mind and use soundness of mind showing love to our neighbors by only getting what we need. There is no need to hoard and leave our neighbors without their basic necessities. We should have not only our interest in mind but that of others especially those who are more vulnerable. My family and I are doing our part to socially distance and help flatten the curve. Stay home and help reduce the spread once this blows over you will be able to resume life as it was. So let’s practice love and selflessness… Positivity is a Lifestyle!
